Pain Management and Palliative Care Overview

August 26th and August 27th, 2021

Part of this two day course will cover the 2 hour safe prescribing of opioids requirement by the MN state board of nursing

Overview: This course is designed to review common pain syndrome, a comprehensive pain assessment and treatment for chronic pain. It will also review common medications used in pain management as well as the non-pharmacological treatment. The course will also discuss symptom management in palliative care and review relief of the burden of complex medical issues. It will also cover management of end of life care.

This activity will be submitted to the American Association of Nurse Practitioners for the approval of up to 10 contact hours of accredited education

Early bird Registration $320.00 until July 1st. Registration after July 1st $370.00

9:00-9:30am: Goals of care discussion

9:30-10:30am: end of life management and case studies

10:30-10:45am: break

10:45-12:45pm: Pain Medication management       

12:45-1:15pm: case review
